The Latvian National Theatre Adress: Kronvalda bulvāris 2, Riga, Latvia

The 2nd Baltic Heart Failure meeting will be held at the Latvian National Theater which is situated in one of the most beautiful buildings in Riga. It was built in 1902 by the architect A. Reinberg. The facade is decorated with Riga's coat of arms and the attributes of Russian Tzars. The front sculptures are made by A. Folz.nac. teatris.jpg

The theater was founded in 1919 by the playwright A. Upitis. From 1940 to 1989 it was known as Drama Theater named after Upitis. In 1989, the theater was given back its original name. For eight decades, this grand theater preserves the traditions of Latvian drama school. It has survived World War, Soviet power, social turmoil and the renaissance of national culture. Nowadays it is one of the biggest theaters in Latvia. 1
